day 1: one-line-a-day gratitude journal

these last couple of days i have not been feeling my best because of some stress and self issues you don't want to hear. so i have been looking for inspiration to kick this negative vibe away and make way for positivity instead. believe me, i had a lot of spacing out and looking at the ceiling moments but none seemed to soothe my very troubled soul. that is true not until i stumbled across one of the articles patty laurel shared in her blog. and i quote:

4. Start a one-line-a-day gratitude journal. Before bed, simply jot down one happy memory from that day. (If you have kids, you can ask them, "What was the best part of today?") Reflection is an important part of happiness, and pausing to reflect on a positive event from each day cultivates gratitude. (An added bonus: Later, when your memory is defunct, you will already have all of your meaningful adventures recorded!) If you have trouble getting started with journaling, consider buying a book to guide you. Simple Abundance, by Sarah Ban Breathnach, is a great one.

so as a starter, here's my one-line-a-day gratitude for today, 22 july 2012!

i'm blessed to have a very patient and understanding boyfriend who never questioned my crazy mood swings.

earlier today at sprockets. jp bought me some comfort food like mashed potato and quesadilla!

P.S. i know this is supposed to be one liner but forgive me for the explaining, this won't happen again unless need be (:
