thanks salonpas!

a few days back i was more than ecstatic to share about my recent wakeboarding experience but i failed to mention the pain i have to endure after. yes, you heard it right, P A I N! wakeboarding was not just all about enjoyment and that adrenaline rush you feel. it is all about pain. pain because you forget to stretch before jumping in. pain because it's your first time. pain because you had too much of it.

well that being said, i have to say that i'm pretty much guilty of all those three. so the pain i have to endure. j

just before we ended our wakeboarding session, divine came up to me and asked, 'is this your first time?' 'yeah' 'you gotta watch out for muscle aches and body fatigues. the first time i did it, i could not raise my hands way past my shoulders'

true to her word, i was feeling downright sick of the body pain and i even had a hard time holding my phone. i am not exaggerating when i say that the pain i was feeling is close to being electrified (and yes i know how it feels cos i had been electrified about 2x when i was a kid)

good thing i have a caring and patient boyfriend who bought me a box of these amazing, miracle patches!

from not being able to raise my hands to being able to perform ADLs, i must say
 SALONPAS IS MY NEW BESTFRIEND

P.S: today i feel a whole lot better and i'm ready to jump into that craaaazy board again! Xx

gotta love wakeboarding!

lately, i have been a lazy bum. i quit working out. i stopped playing sports thus, gaining unwanted weight! i am not depressed or anything. i just think that there is no inspiration to be fit anymore. haaha i know that was such a bad excuse but i could not really think what started all these crazy binge-ing. it is such huge pain to lose those calories.

a few days back, me and my friends went to the newly-renovated papa kits in liloan, cebu to try out fishing but we were surprised beyond imagination that the whole place was revamped and made into some kind of adventure place. there was zipline and monkey bridge and wall climbing and other fun stuff aside from the fishing experience. but what really got me excited was their wakeboarding.

so what is wakeboarding? according to wiki:

on a personal note, i should say that it is a sport which needs balance, body core, upper body strength (esp the biceps and triceps) and of course determination to stand up on the board and just get it on!

if you are living in cebu city, cebu wake park (which is inside papa kits) is the nearest place you can actually try and learn the sport. it is just about 20 mins ride if you pass by the newly developed road going to liloan. i'm not really good at directions so i will just gice you the map going there. i advise you to take this route for lesser hassle and lesser traffic too.

you know you are in the right direction when you pass by this beautiful bridge

last sunday afternoon, we finally decided to go out and  learn it. unfortunately, a lot of people were already lining up up to the last hour of operations so we were not able to hop on. the manager told us to call them first for reservation to be able to get a sure spot.
yesterday was truly our time cos there were only 5 of us playing. me, jp, slater young, divine, and a college dude whose name i forgot (i know have bad social ethics)

so here are the pictures we got. not too many though cos we were really enjoying the game the whole time, we lose the interest to take some really nice snaps.
i have to say that the crew and operators at cebu wake park are the best! they really are patient and
great coaches!

for beginners, this is the kind of board to use
wherein the shoes are just velcro strap-ons. it is easier
to remove when you fall from the board

wakeboarding is a little hard especially that you need balance and strength but it is really worth the try. after about 30 mins i was able to ride the board without falling off the water! YEYY! jp took a video of it so enjoy! P.S. if you are really into water sports its good to invest in go pro so the vid and photos are awesome!

there you go! i hope you guys will also try it out and don't forget to like: https://www.facebook.com/cebuwake

and just to loop you with what i said in the introduction, wakeboarding is a fun way to workout. it gives you adrenaline rush and makes you forget that you're actually burning those fats in a fun fun way. let me know how it goes for you!

because i miss our morning's after work, i will share a photo of a random morning jp and i share a year ago when we still work at the same office (:

we both look sleepy since our work requires us to stay up all night (:

this local resto is located at j center in mandaue. it's cozy and vintage and the food is good!

coke sharing!

the first time i get to see this video commercial made me really feel fuzzy inside. awwww this is just too cute. a coca-cola can you twist and tadaaaahh, 2 lil cans for you and your friend/special someone :D but since we are a 3rd world country, coca-cola philippines does not have it :( bummer! but anyhow, just enjoy the video and ask your friends from singapore (i think the nearest country to ours which has it) to buy you one just for the heck of it! happy day! mwah!

it's not just a bee, it's burt's bees!

ever since i could remember, i always have dry and chapped lips. whether the weather is cold or whether the weather is hot, my lips look cracked and totally disgusting. it's partly my fault because i don't hydrate myself that my much. i can only average 2-3 glasses a day or 5 glasses max! i think my thirst center in the brain is a little defective cos it wouldn't tell me if i am thirsty and i needed to gulp down some liquid. (excuses, right?)

anyway, back to my cracked lips. in college when i started to hangout with friends and i started dating, i felt insecure when those cracks would breakout since it's such a turn off. so major part of my "necessities budget" would really go to buying lip balms or petroleum jelly or lip glosses to hide those cracks temporarily. you might say that i am exaggerating but trust me, i am not! i would say major because those lippies are small and usually if not's borrowed forever by a friend i am pretty sure i would lost it in a few days. (yeah, something is really wrong with me haaha)

i have not really found the perfect lip balm to cure my chapped lips not until 3 weeks ago when i tried burt's bee. i can go on ranting about how amazing this little thing is but it sure counts most when you try it for yourself. basically what i do is put it in my purse (i am really careful this time since it's not a joke throwing around a fortune) and treat my lips every now and then. my lips really turned out great. it's soft and yes wait for it.....KISSABLE (:

so just in case you're facing the same dilemma, you can always invest in this lil thing and have those lips glow back to it's original softness :D

lemme know what you think! Xx
