8 Things Lately

I have heard and seen 8tracks way way before and I tried to actually go to their website just tonight because I didn't get to really find the time to appreciate it. Anyway, I found out that it basically is all playlists with 8 songs/ tracks in it, which is pretty cool by the way cos the songs are well chosen. What's better though is it has like a grade meter which would tell you if a lot of people has been listening to a certain playlist. You need to check it out yourself.

Anyway, so in line with 8tracks, let me share with you 8 things that I've been doing and thinking about (a lot, mind you) lately. I know I seemed like off the grid lately and I have no good excuse about it but thanks for still visiting this lil space.

1. New Work Soon. I've been basically jobless for 6 months (long story, deserves another post) and I can't just wait to start going to an actual office again. Hopefully, if everything will go well I will start by March 1. Yayyyy 😬

2. Sugbo Mercado and 32 Sanson Food Market this weekend. My sister (Babbs) has got me going to this Sugbo Mercado which is a food market that happens weekly in IT Park. It starts on a Thursday night til Saturday night and it's perfect cos my sister's dayoff is Thur-Fri. I'm looking forward to our gossips and cheat meals. One time I ate so much, I nearly threw-up. This weekend, I asked my HS bestfriend to hangout at 32 Sanson on Saturday night cos we need a serious catch up session.

3. Wedding. As some of you may know, I got engaged last December to my boyfriend of 4 years, Jp. I think I'm over the oh-my-gaad-im-overwhelmed-stage cos I'm finally creating my Excel file for wedding preps. I did not think it was so exhausting just listing possible themes and possible wedding entourage. It's quite hard to be an adult.

4. Snapchat.Is.Addicting - I hope I'm not too old for this. But really, it's my favorite app right now. I know I sound like a legit millenial for saying this but Snapchat is life! #nuffsaid 😎

5. Diet and Exercise. I seriously need to lose weight. I mean I have a wedding dress to fit and a honeymoon to prepare (of course I think about these things). But look at number 2 on this list. Hahahaha #sohelpmeGod

6. TV Series. I'm hooked to Narcos (which I finished watching for 1 whole day), Scandal (Olivia Pope and Mr. President and of course, Jake), The 100 (pronounced Hundred, not one hundred), Suits (Harvey Specter and Mike Ross forevs), and the no brainer-- Shameless.

7.  Skincare. I read somewhere that a woman's face starts ageing after she turns 25. It literally ticked me off knowing that I'm 3 years late already.  Honestly, no one really taught me about skincare and stuff like that but now that information is just a click away, there's no excuse to bad skin. I will share with you my reviews soon. But I'm happy that I have established a routine that keeps my skin hydrated/moisturised.

8.  Nursing. It's funny how something as mundane as seeing a nurse in her uniform makes you nostalgic of something you claim isn't your cup of tea. I know it's uncalled for but out of nowhere I suddenly think and imagine how my life could have turned out had I pursued a nursing career. Oh well, I don't have regrets but maybe..just maybe..

That's all folks, it felt better to be able to write in this little space once again.

gotta love wakeboarding!

lately, i have been a lazy bum. i quit working out. i stopped playing sports thus, gaining unwanted weight! i am not depressed or anything. i just think that there is no inspiration to be fit anymore. haaha i know that was such a bad excuse but i could not really think what started all these crazy binge-ing. it is such huge pain to lose those calories.

a few days back, me and my friends went to the newly-renovated papa kits in liloan, cebu to try out fishing but we were surprised beyond imagination that the whole place was revamped and made into some kind of adventure place. there was zipline and monkey bridge and wall climbing and other fun stuff aside from the fishing experience. but what really got me excited was their wakeboarding.

so what is wakeboarding? according to wiki:

on a personal note, i should say that it is a sport which needs balance, body core, upper body strength (esp the biceps and triceps) and of course determination to stand up on the board and just get it on!

if you are living in cebu city, cebu wake park (which is inside papa kits) is the nearest place you can actually try and learn the sport. it is just about 20 mins ride if you pass by the newly developed road going to liloan. i'm not really good at directions so i will just gice you the map going there. i advise you to take this route for lesser hassle and lesser traffic too.

you know you are in the right direction when you pass by this beautiful bridge

last sunday afternoon, we finally decided to go out and  learn it. unfortunately, a lot of people were already lining up up to the last hour of operations so we were not able to hop on. the manager told us to call them first for reservation to be able to get a sure spot.
yesterday was truly our time cos there were only 5 of us playing. me, jp, slater young, divine, and a college dude whose name i forgot (i know have bad social ethics)

so here are the pictures we got. not too many though cos we were really enjoying the game the whole time, we lose the interest to take some really nice snaps.
i have to say that the crew and operators at cebu wake park are the best! they really are patient and
great coaches!

for beginners, this is the kind of board to use
wherein the shoes are just velcro strap-ons. it is easier
to remove when you fall from the board

wakeboarding is a little hard especially that you need balance and strength but it is really worth the try. after about 30 mins i was able to ride the board without falling off the water! YEYY! jp took a video of it so enjoy! P.S. if you are really into water sports its good to invest in go pro so the vid and photos are awesome!

there you go! i hope you guys will also try it out and don't forget to like: https://www.facebook.com/cebuwake

and just to loop you with what i said in the introduction, wakeboarding is a fun way to workout. it gives you adrenaline rush and makes you forget that you're actually burning those fats in a fun fun way. let me know how it goes for you!
