vintage photo

because i miss our morning's after work, i will share a photo of a random morning jp and i share a year ago when we still work at the same office (:

we both look sleepy since our work requires us to stay up all night (:

this local resto is located at j center in mandaue. it's cozy and vintage and the food is good!

random date night

after a very long time, me and jp has not been able to go out at night like most normal couples would do because of crazy work scheds. this week though, he was able to file a 2-day leave which is on my day off from the hospital so we were able to go out. so i put off my nursing duties for a night and head out to eat. yeyyy!

we were planning to grab some pizzas but when we got to ayala, jp remembered one of our first dinner out together in bigbys. he suddenly wanted to go back there, so bigbys we went (:
some quirky wall they have
bigbys very creative ceiling

moi date!

my new camera is making me vain, tsk tsk! not good eh?

almost ready to chow

their fun wall

more wall decors!

anybody who frequents bigbys can attest that their quesadilla is the best!

mashed potato is a staple for me and surprisingly this one is good

eating quesadilla like eating pizza, LIKE A BOSS

happy tummytums

this is my favorite spot in ayala terraces! thanks jp for this photo, X

bigbys is a lil bit pricey but trust me, order the quesadilla and the bill you see won't matter (: and date nights are not an everyday thing so splurging a bit is not that bad hahaha i hope you guys have great date nights with the person you care about so much like i do (:

the sinulog weekend

sinulog is considered one of the grandest and most celebrated festival here in the pinas. it's amazing to think that no matter how tiring it is, we filipinos and foreigners alike never miss it just because we are fun-loving and religious rolled into one.

i am not so familiar with the religious beliefs that comes along with sinulog but it makes me proud that i live in a country where christianity is a big thing. V told me that an estimated 1.8MiLLiON devotees joined the saturday procession for the sr. sto. nino.

on a personal note, i just really wanted to see how this festival is celebrated because from my friends' stories it's all fun and just plain awesome! so here are some photos im sharing of how my sinulog weekend was spent-- with Jp of course!

went clubbin on a friday nyt! this was on a saturday AM already, starbucks to nurse the hangover!

saturday night shufflin!
the man and the wingman (:
the rockin crowd! vudu was a blaaast!

blurrrrry! too much rhum coke!
sunday pit senyor!

started the day late because of the saturday night fun out! the streets were swarming with people and jp let me experience the not so long walk around fuente. i went elbow to elbow with the rest of the sugbu crowd who all went to celebrate the great sinulog! it wasn't a long walk because jp decided to let me watch it on top of crown regency-- club ultima! the view was better and not soo much people.

crowd at fuente!
more crowd!

hello from club ultima (:
view from up there!
we ended the night with a magical fireworks display from sm's roofdeck parking! we were able to get the full sight of 4 spectacular displays from ayala, crown regency, abellana and sm of course which was by far the most amazing and awesome! til the next sinulog cebu!

jp n jp at our homecourt: ayala!

**Photo Credits: all these photos are taken by jp. thanks baby..not just for the photos but for  the favor of goin  with me   all through out the crazy fun sinulog weekend (: ily!

photo of the day (:

IT'S TINDERBOX TUESDAY!

After a not-so-manic Monday shift, Jp and I wants to start our Tuesday by going to one of the best sausage places here in cebu-- The Tinderbox! It's funny how people think that it's such an expensive place but trust me, it's very affordable especially when you don't order from their menu.

So here's the secret: you just have to pick which sausage you want (and boy there's a lot!) which will cost you less than 50php each and have them cook it whatever you want it done-- and TADAAAAH! breakfast is ready ((:

i heart coming back to baybay because of my favorite kid: matteo!
we can be dead serious with our crafts: bookworm and supermario!

matt demonstrates how to win supermario kart race which he mastered

look ate hearty this is how you play squeeballz :D

matteo is gwapo!

he beats me with his nintendo games but he can't beat me with wrestling!

i love you matt! and no matter how heavy you get, i will still carry you upstairs and down. see you again soon (:

macaroon-y delight

sometimes, when the world seem to bore you off, all you really need to do is find a good spot, hangout and chill! so a few sundays back, i had this kinda moments so i went searching for a good place to hangout in ayala! and look what i found :
this is located in terraces.a very laidback and comfy place
they serve the yummiest macaroons and most delightful coffee FTW!
a must-try for every sweet-tooth! i just love how the bitter taste of brewed coffee blends with the distinctive sweet flavors of each macaroon :) i ordered 7 flavors (and that's 35php/each) but who cares? when you just wanted to feel good right? haha okay so, my favorites were: peppermint + hazelnut coffee + the other brown-colored-macaroon (i forgot the name) hehe i def would go back, like now!!
